Advanced Editing Techniques

From this task, we gained more techniques that could be used to improve our music video;
 - Jump cuts can allow us to do some unique things in our video
 - We also improved our method of piecing footage together

Analysis of a Digipak Poster

From this task I have learnt that our poster needs to be simple and eye-catching but definitely follow the same theme that we will be using for our album. Another good element to have in our poster is to use minimal information and possibly a slight variation on the album cover but not too different so that they don't look like its advertising the same product.

30 Cut Chorus

During this task, I have learnt that doing 30 different cuts is quite difficult when there isn't a narrative to follow and little time to convey a narrative of our own without sound. This is very good practice for when it comes to make our own music video as it is highly likely that we will be using a lot of quick cuts as it is easier to lip sync a fast paced video. I feel as though the variety of camera angles went well as well as the match-on-action sections and the freeze frame at the end. There were some inconsistent errors with continuity which I would fix in another recording. In our final music video, these techniques will be very useful when creating and presenting our narrative.

We learnt techniques that can improve our music video. Such as;
 - Quicker cuts increases the pace of the video
 - Cuts on and off the beat increases the pace of the video further
 - Slow motion could be a great addition
 - As could freeze-frames

Analysis of Digipaks

From this research task, I have managed to compose a list of possible elements that I would like to include in my digipak:
 - A continuous theme of colours and shapes throughout
 - Additional artwork that follows on from the main album artwork
 - Photos of the members of the band
 - A good, stand-out image as the album cover
