Weather for Day of Filming

For part of our music video, we need to film some footage outside. We have managed to pick a day when our actors are free so we checked the weather to see if we would be able to get good lighting as it was key to the footage we are planning on filming.

From this weather forecast, we saw that both Wednesday and Friday would be good days to film, however Friday looked as though it was going to be sunnier so we went for that day instead to try and get the best lighting possible.

Experimentation With Editing

In this video, we used some scenes from a previous student's music video and edited it using techniques like freeze frames, post-edit zooms, slow motion, overlays and reversing the footage. This is so that when we start editing our music video, we know what to do and how to do it.

Digipak

I constructed this digipak to be simple and to follow a theme all the way through it. I feel as though it suits the genre of the artist and tries not to have too much colour. This is so that the digipak stands out amongst others. I also think that the black, white and greys suit the theme of the album which is misery and sadness.

Poster

I like the first version of my poster as I think that it represents the Indie genre very well and is very eye-catching but I do not like the layout of the logos and the font of 'Good Grief' so I will experiment with what I think will work better.

 - Removed the white flash from the video
 - Have used footage for more of the song
 - Still some shots that are too long
 - Some quicker cuts which work well
 - Jump cuts work well

 - Added the title - Don't like the footage behind it though
 - Better pace
 - Some lip syncing issues
 - Some out of focus shots
 - Good overlapping shot
 - Some shots too long
